About Us

A Word of Gratitude

We give thanks to God for all His blessings, and we're especially grateful for the opportunity He has given us to be of service to families in Mullica Hill, our surrounding communities, and beyond.  Often people will ask us how we do what we do.  It is not always easy when we are serving grieving families, but we understand that it is far more difficult for them.  When someone places a loved one in our care, we consider it an honor, a privilege and most importantly, a sacred trust.  Knowing we have eased a burden gives us the fortitude to continue doing this work.

Serving Families

Fertig Funeral Home is owned by Robert and Denise Fertig.*  Robert C. Fertig, N.J. Lic. No. 4451, is the manager of the funeral home, and personally works with families to take care of their funeral service needs.  Denise assists and supports her husband in the business.  Together, Bob and Denise are dedicated to providing caring and personal service to grieving families, as well as to those planning for the future.

Bob has worked with many families over the years.  He is a graduate of Mercer County College Mortuary Science Program and Gloucester County College.

Denise is a graduate of Georgetown University.  She is a Certified Health Coach, having earned her certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, in affiliation with Columbia University.  She is certified by the Board of the American Association of Drugless Practioners as a holistic health counselor.

Both Bob and Denise were born in South Jersey and have made Mullica Hill their home.  They are blessed with five children--two sons and three daughters.

Our Pledge to You

Our priority is to provide service that exceeds your expectations.  We personally guide families through the funeral process, with care and attention to detail.  Whether in our funeral home, at your place of worship, or at another location in which you feel comfortable, we take care of everything.  Your peace of mind is most important to us.

Because we are a family-owned and operated funeral home, we are able to give our personal attention to the individual needs of each family we serve.  We offer a gentle, friendly smile, a shoulder to lean on, or even a warm embrace when needed.  We want our families to know that someone who cares will be with them each step of the way--before, during and after their loved one has been placed at rest.

At Fertig Funeral Home we honor the life of your loved one by working closely with you to provide a truly fitting memorial.  We can help you decide the type of service that is best for you and your family, whether you prefer a traditional funeral, an uplifting tribute to a life well lived, or even a joyful journey of remembrance.  We also understand if you don't feel like celebrating.
